Is she a DA thief you ask? Man… how I WISH she were a DA thief, but it’s worse; she’s a thief I know in real life. I’ve had plenty of DA-thieves who stole my artwork, but they were reported pretty quickly by other people and banned/removed before I even had the chance to see their stolen crap. I still have some of those “small art thieves” on my roof, but I don’t really care, since they are crushed by my watchers anyway. (and I will crush the art-thieves of my watchers & friends whenever I see them of course!)

But Sarah is a very different type of thief; IRL thieves are the worst. I never knew how to register art and stories, so I registered mine in 2009 (9 years after I started it). A few hours later this thief I’ve been reading/trusting my story to for years also registered my stuff under her own name, but it was still on the same day I believe or 1 day later. She now prounces around with my work and tells everyone she is the original creator. She also told me that she is planning to publish my Yerdian stuff under her own name in the future. It gives me a lot of stress. What if I walk into the store one day and then see my 11-year old hard work with her name on it?? Gosh, how I WISH she was just one of those DA thieves instead. This is probably the worst type of thief one can encounter. Why the hell was I so naive to trust her anyway?! *slams my head to the wall* I’m such an idiot!

Anyway, this comic might be based on what I’ve been through, but I also made it for people who go through something similar and other people who are against these kind of mean art thieves. This is what a lot of art thieves act like: they’re ignorant as hell and twist peoples’ words like crazy. And everyone telling them that they shouldn’t steal, are marked as “eeeeevil” or “stalkers” or “psychos” or “jealous” or “zomg-they-want-my-OC-sues” by them and, of course, blocked.

I first thought they were just insecure, but many people disagreed with me about that being the reason to steal someones’ hard work. They told me: “I am insecure too and I hate my life. But that doesn’t mean that I have to hurt other people, too by stealing their art. I am an artist, so I draw everything myself. Without tracing… without stealing!” I then realized that even “being insecure” is not the true reason why art thieves steal; they steal because they are selfish, self-centred people who don’t care about hurting other innocent people. They don’t care that the original artist/writer worked until midnight every day on his/her drawing, they don’t care the original artist/writer put deep and far thinking in his art or story… they just TAPE IT like taking a cookie from the cookie box and pretend they did all that hard work!

I just can’t understand. I tried. I tried to understand how art thieves feel… but I can’t. I just simply can’t imagine why someone would do something like that! And then her whiteknight comes with the excuse “it’s just a story. Let her use it”. Just a story??? 11 whole years I worked on that story! 11 whole years! Do they have any idea how much work that is?! They act like my art and stories are free stock images! Her whiteknight even has the nerve to say; “Awww, Sarah is crying! Yerdian, give her your story right now! She’s crying and her fake tears and feelings are more important than some story!”
I try not to think about it, but I can’t help it. It’s the fear that stops me from worrying… fear to see my hard work in the store with hér name on it someday. I could tell myself that I’m just overreacting and creating drama, but this time I can’t… because I can’t ignore 11 years of hard work.

I’m not telling you this to receive “oh, you poor thing” comments… (I’m a strong person and I really can’t stand being the victim, even though I am in this case) I’m telling you this because I don’t want anyone else to go through this. BE CAREFUL with who you trust with your work. I mean it. They smile at you, they pretend you are their friend and… WOOP! There goes your hard work! Don’t be naive like I was.

Do not feel sorry for me; I can’t reverse time. Rather be careful with your own creations… because that’s what this submission was created for: to raise awareness.

-“An hero” is an internet meme born in 4chan that means commiting suicide or dying. In example, when someone tells you on internet (and obviously on deviantART) “become an hero”, is telling you to go die.

This meme is very used on Encyclopedia Dramatica, indeed here is a special category called “an heroes” where are articles of deceased people.

-Mitchell Henderson was a 13-years-old person who commited suicide on 2006 (probably because of severe depression). After this event, his friends and classmates decided to open a MySpace memorial saying in some places “an hero” instead of a hero, as should be written. And that was enough for many people from 4chan and ED to ruin the life of an entire family even more when they discovered that memorial and created the “an hero” meme.

-As many examples of abuse against his family and friends, someone put an iPod on his grave, toke a photo and submitted it to 4chan. Another example is when they called over a year and half to his family with shit like “Hi, I’m Mitchell’s ghost, the front door is locked. Can you come down and let me in?” or “Hi, I’ve got Mitchell’s iPod”. Or another: they hacked the Mitchell Henderson’s MySpace memorial and put a zombie on the page. This meme is still being used and the lulzaboos are still joking with the death of a 13-years old person.
